Interstitial Lung Disease More Condition_symptoms Why Would The Gas Transfer Factor Be Low In A Person Who Had Interstitial Lung Disease?

Why would the gas transfer factor be low in a person who had interstitial lung disease? - interstitial lung disease more condition_symptoms

Transfer factor of gas, better known as "diffusion capacity known" is a measure of lung capacity for the transfer of gas between the alveoli (small branches of the lungs) and blood flow.

The ILD is a disease that effects the space around the alveoili, also known as CA membrane. A good example of interstitial lung disease pulmonary fibrosis. Gas is not so easy on the fat tissue as the fact, normally through the thin membrane AC, when the disease decreased diffusion capacity. Similarly, inflammation, fluid, etc. .. in the CA membrane could reduce the diffusion capacity in the same way that fibrosis is only natural.
